I am over the top happy with being able to hear conversations clearly again. I love the clarity of sound and the comfort of my new hearing aids. They are easy to use, not complicated.

I no longer avoid social situations because of my hearing. I am thoroughly enjoying the ability to hear sounds I do not remember hearing before. I can hear a small bird’s singing now. Something I was not able to do before.

Approximately a month ago I went to Countryside Hearing Aid Services. I went in knowing I needed hearing aids. There was a consultation. My hearing loss was evaluated. I was shown and given the option of several manufacturers aids with a choice of price ranges. Tom explained in depth the pros and cons of each device as he showed them to me.

I was able to pick up my new hearing aids, programmed for my hearing loss, within days.

The sound quality is excellent. Clear without distortion.  They are very comfortable. Right off I was able to wear them all day and forget they were there. There is a button on each to adjust volume up or down as needed. At first it was difficult to know where to press to activate the button quickly. A little practice was all it took to solve that issue.

They are small and are barely visible while I am wearing them. Still they are well made, sturdy and do not seem fragile.

Customer service has been beyond excellent. The office is clean and cheerful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Tom is very attentive to any concerns and questions I have. He has set up repeat free appointments to check on my progress in using the aids. Making sure they fit properly and that I know how to maintain them correctly. He makes adjustments to the programming as needed there in the office. He does not have to send them to the factory for these adjustments. He has been very diligent in making sure I get the full benefits from using the aids.

I found them to be expensive for me but the cost is well worth the improvement in being able to communicate with people so much better than I ever have. Another plus is that I no longer have to operate the TV at maximum volume and use the closed captions to follow a show.

I absolutely recommend Countryside Hearing Aid Services to anyone having problems interfacing with the world and other people due to hearing loss. Tom and his wife, Laurie, are very professional, and they worked miracles for me. The staff is beyond warm and friendly, making a visit to the office a very pleasant experience.

In my opinion, this is The Only hearing aid establishment in the Dunedin/Clearwater/Tampa/Palm Harbor area, or Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, for that matter, that anyone with the need for a hearing evaluation and hearing aid assistance should consider.

I was using "hand-me-down" hearing aids from my recently deceased mother when I moved to Dunedin from the Chicago, IL suburbs. One of them stopped working (they were over 4 yrs old) and I was at a complete loss. I happened upon Countryside Hearing on my way home from work as I really had no one to ask for suggestions since I was new to the area. The knowledge, service and compassion I have received from Tom from the first time I stepped into the establishment has been above and beyond what I would ever consider "the norm"! He and Laurie, along with the rest of the staff, have been nothing but wonderful to work with (and are the kindest people ever!)!

My ReSound (in the canal) hearing aids work wonderfully for me and fit absolutely perfect! Besides the quality of product available without paying what you'd pay for a small car, I would HIGHLY recommend Countryside Hearing Aid Services for the above and beyond service you'll receive. They're The Best! Thanks for all you do, guys!

You have given me my life back! I have worn hearing aids for over 10 years and as recently as a year and a half ago had purchased my 3rd set of aids. I still could not go to plays, hear in a group setting and was not even able to enjoy my family gatherings because I could not understand what was being said. Frustration was my middle name and my husband was so tired of repeating everything he said to me.  I came to Countryside Hearing thinking I had a greater hearing loss recently. The test Tom conducted was so thorough I was impressed but the best part was the statement that my hearing hadn't changed that much and that I had a choice of 2 instruments that could help me. My problem was that although I knew people were speaking I could not make out what they were saying!  That day was the beginning of my new life. I now can go to plays, musicals, meetings and family gatherings and hear and understand what is being said. I have had my Oticon aids for about 2 months and have tried them in every noisy situation imaginable and they continue to surprise and delight me. The ability to hear the T.V without TV Ears is a side benefit as is the phone button to help and the ability to hear clearly in places that have the loop or T Coil.

All this has been possible with the help and encouragement of the staff at Countryside Hearing. They have made me feel that nothing is as important as my being able to hear and have gone out of their way to make me feel so comfortable that I actually look forward to my appointments. I have already recommended them to 2 of my friends and will continue to be a cheerleader for Countryside Hearing. Thank you for caring.

The Oticon Alta2 Pro is amazing!  I have worn hearing aides for 40 years.  I now hear conversation at the end of long tables in our retirement club house, likewise at church, home group and the birds singing.  We live in a noise laden world, of which I now am able to hear much more clearly.  Including my wife and great grandchildren on the phone and face chat.  The service from Tom, Laurie, Brandie and Rachel is above and beyond what one would expect.  I/we are very appreciative of their team and equipment!

After dragging my feet and not wanting to admit my hearing loss, I began to investigate options for hearing aid assistance. After several visits to hearing aid establishments, I landed at Countryside Hearing Aids as a result of a friend's recommendation. How fortunate was I. I found the staff to be more concerned about solving my hearing loss than selling me a specific hearing aid. They were considerate, took time to become acquainted with my lifestyle and then selected a solution that fit my requirements both socially and financially. The great service that I received prior to my purchase of the hearing aids did not end when I walked out their door. The follow up and great customer service has not lapsed and continues to be a source of satisfaction to me. It’s not very often that one finds a special person or group of persons in their daily life or activities who go over and above.
I have only known you for less than a year but I have had a fantastic relationship with you and your company.
I have been able to come to your office and just talk for a while. This rarely happens in an office situation. You actually treat people like they are family or they have worked with you for years. Keep up the good work!

Tom and Laurie are great to work with; they are both friendly and knowledgeable. They possess the ability to immediately put you at ease and find the best solution for the loss you may be experiencing.  I have a very active life that takes me from the quite setting of an office, the moderate setting of meetings, to the very loud setting of a football stadium, Tom was able to take this information and set me up with hearing aids that work for all the environments I find myself in. I also love that they schedule periodic appointments to make sure everything is working as it should and have the added bonus of the battery program.  I am so confident in their abilities that I have recommended them to family members.

Why Countryside Hearing Aid Service and Tom and Laurie are the BEST.

REASON 1) Several months ago I inherited my brother-in-law's Resound hearing aids. My hearing aid provider did not service Resound hearing aids and referred me to Tom. I made an appointment, and Tom and Laurie made the process of evaluating my hearing and reprogramming of the Resound hearing aids to my needs a great experience. I love the four programs (#1 for normal, #2 for restaurants, #3 for road noise in the car but which I use for windy days outdoors, and #4 for television. These are the best hearing aids I have ever owned in more than 30 years of wearing hearing aids, and I really appreciate the time Tom put into programming them specifically for me. He also taught me how to use the hearing aid remote to select the different programs and adjust the volume.

REASON 2) Within a few months, unfortunately I managed to lose my hearing aid remote, and Tom and Laurie were able to sell me a new one that they had in stock and to program it for my hearing aids. That was great as I do use the different programs, especially #2 which turns off the back microphones and is great in noisy restaurants.

REASON 3) I also inherited a remote microphone which I am hopeful will help me hear the TV when visiting friends' homes. Pairing that piece of equipment was more challenging for Tom as he does not pair very many of that piece of equipment. The first attempt failed as did the second attempt. That was when we discovered that my remote microphone did not work. My other brother-in-law gave me his old one, and today Tom persevered and conquered the challenge of pairing it with my hearing aids. The microphone is up and working great. In summary, I would recommend Countryside Hearing Aid Services to all my friends and family. In fact, I have which is…

REASON 4) My sister-in-law saw them for evaluation and was told she really did not have a hearing loss significant enough to warrant a hearing aid. I think that is a perfect example of the quality of service and the integrity of Tom and Laurie at Countryside Hearing Aid Services.

Most of us go through life with the hope of better days for ourselves and our families. The events in our daily routines merge as we go about our lives. Then...we experience an event that changes everything we do. Several weeks ago I made an appointment with Countryside Hearing to see if something could be done about my hearing loss. Listening and hearing are completely different from each other. You can hear the siren of a fire-truck but you must listen to a small child’s voice. You can hear the roar of a jet engine but you must listen for the subtle whispers from your lover. To hear the subtle nuances in a changing voice – the stories and the exciting events that happened in the day – to respond you must be able to hear and without your hearing or hearing properly – countless bickering, arguments and fights can be avoided. If you were going blind and to stem the blindness you had to wear glasses – you would. Same with hearing loss – a small device completely invisible to others can give you the freedom to join the conversation again. We all age and we all lose our hearing but the quickest way to tell someone’s age is when they keep saying “WHAT.” Tom Mitchell of Countryside Hearing is the hearing aid professional that will allow you to join the conversation once again – he helped me and a new world has been unveiled. On January 11, 2016 I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Countryside Hearing. Having the company I was doing business go out of business, I became cautious of any other company in this business. However, when first visiting Countryside Hearing, my wife and I were so graciously greeted by Laurie one of the owners. Instantly we were taken by Laurie’s wonderful demeanor and infectious smile. Laurie explained the company’s policies and the way they have been so successfully doing business and their justification of an A Plus rating with the BBB. Shorty thereafter, we were introduced to her partner and husband Tom Mitchell. Not only was Tom a delight, he was extremely professional, informative and so thorough in his time with me. He quickly resolved the problems I was having with my old aids and gave demonstrations of proper wear and operational use of my aids. Ten years ago I lost my hearing as did my mother when she was my age.  I have classic hereditary hearing loss, about 57% in both ears and I had been wearing only one (CIC) Starkey hearing aid when in fact I have needed two all along.  You see, I am very vain and only 36 years old when this occurred.  Over the years, I have been to 3 different audiologists and the struggles to get me to hear in the many environments that I encounter daily has been exhausting to say the least.  I also felt that the technology of the hearing devices were sub-par for the kind of money that they were charging so I waited.  Early last year I had heard about the new (Pair to IPhone) Resound Linx II’s.  So I went to my current audiologist and she tried to sell me Starkey Halo’s which I demoed for 3 weeks.  I was not satisfied with the product nor the programming.  All this time and effort wasted.  I was starting to get discouraged. This led me to Countryside Hearing and (The Zen Master) Tom Mitchell.  He gave me the best price and really listened to what I was telling him about my daily hearing challenges.  Everything from listening to music to presenting in the boardroom, we covered it all.  And on the first visit, he nailed it!  I haven’t heard like this since before I lost my hearing. Of course we have had to tweak couple of things since then but nothing major.  Oh and did I mention that I work a busy schedule and usually when I need to come in it is like right now.  Well, Laurie always works her magic and gets me right in.  Great service, Great value, and they know what they are doing.  Thanks guys, you changed my life.

I recently walked into Countryside Hearing to purchase some hearing aid batteries. I was visiting Florida from New England. I mentioned to Mr. Mitchell’s staff that I was having difficulty with my hearing aid streamer and his staff was kind enough to not only sell me batteries but also to make immediate access to Mr. Mitchell, himself, who was very kind, personal and caring. He was able to troubleshoot the difficulty with my old streamer which revealed it was out of date with the new software of my current hearing aids. Mr. Mitchell provided me with a new streamer at a reasonable price and was able to program it and send me on my way smiling, very pleased, and able to once again communicate with fluidity and simplicity. The above typifies the type of care I received. I have been very pleased to meet the kind and caring staff and Mr. Mitchell at Countryside Hearing.
